Editorial Illustration

Conceptual design is my bread and butter, so whenever an editorial illustration comes my way for print or web, I do a little happy dance.

I love researching the basis of a story before diving into a project. I write down all of the ideas that pop into my head along the way, and create rough drafts of the top two or three ideas. Collaborating with Art Directors and/or creative teams via feedback always helps give a final polish to an illustration.

I’ve often worked with Women’s Wear Daily’s Beauty Inc. and Money Inc. columns. The prompts have varied from sustainability and green science in beauty to the wage gap between men and women.

I like to lean into my signature collage style when doing editorial illustration to really make something that pops while visually telling a story.

Thank you to ADs Jessica Fitzgerald, Jessica Sarro and Emily Harris on these projects.
