Was inspired by stars and confetti today, so here's a few photos and words.
I'm one step closer to achieving my dream body: disco ball.
The moment I saw this disco ball DIY from Studio DIY, I knew I had to do it. I felt like it was sort of cheating Halloween though... spending all that time on the disco ball and nothing else, so I went all out.
I wanted to BECOME the disco ball, not just have one strapped around me. I asked a good friend who's a make up artist what the smartest way to go about gluing mirrored squares to my face was. She told me about Ben Nye Spirit Gum / Spirit Gum Remover, and it changed my life forever.
I wrangled up some old disco ball ornaments from Christmas, took them apart and individually stuck about 200 mirrored squares to my forehead. The rest of my face I painted silver and sort of threw glitter everywhere. I put my hair up in a little bun, and hot glued some tiny disco ball ornaments which were still in tact to bobby pins I then placed around my bun.
Funny part is, out of all of this the thing that took me the longest was putting on those damn fake eyelashes.
Once it was all done, in the pitch black room we hit me with a light and I spun around forever. (It actually functioned as a disco ball!)
