Inspiration is Everywhere by Julia Walck

The other day I was just sitting on my couch and I couldn't stop staring at my monstera plant (that I'm slowly killing but trying my best to revive). Then I thought, "I'm going to paint it".

I grabbed a 22" x 30" piece of watercolor paper and taped it to the wall and busted my paints out. I don't think I've ever stood up painting like that before but it felt great.

A few weeks ago something similar happened when rearranging my jewelry. The colors really caught my eye, and I suddenly had the urge to paint them in vivid tones.

It's so strange the times when inspiration strikes. And from the most simple things surrounding you...

D.EYE.Y by Julia Walck

This past week, I D.EYE.Y'd some plants / planters. šŸ‘€ šŸŒµ

I saw a post that gave me a great idea to turn a tennis ball into a planter. I play tennis, so that made it easy to acquire a ball, not so easy to cut it though. You REALLY have to take a knife to that bad boy.

Then I saw a pack of googly eyes, pom poms and sequins at JoAnns and knew I could find a good use for them!

I almost used all 144 eyes on this.

I almost used all 144 eyes on this.

I have to be super careful not to tip this over.

Reminds me of a backwards thumbtack.

AAA: Antiques, Airplants and Agate by Julia Walck

I went to the Melrose Trading Post on Sunday, which they have every weekend from 9am-5pm. It's only $3 to get in, and there's a plethora of vintage and upcycled treasures to find!

I'm pretty stoked on these agate slices and airplants that I got. And that sunflower catchall? I mean, c'mon it's my favorite flower and I can never have enough little dishes. Perfection.
