Here's some luck for your Friday the 13th: Bonobo's new album, Migration released today!
I've been waiting for this a while now, guys, (I'm sure same with you), and the wait was definitely worth it. Have a listen for yourself below!
If you're in the LA area today, Bonobo is doing a pop up shop at Subliminal Projects in Echo Park from 5-9pm. I think it's just merch but hey if he were to do a little preview of a show that'd be rad!
I do get to watch this magic happen for real in May at Red Rocks Amphitheater! Excited is an understatement.
Going to listen to Migration on repeat for the rest of the day now. Enjoy!
Last week, I called in to KCRW to try to win tickets to a My Morning Jacket show, and simultaneously win a signed copy of their most recent album, The Waterfall.
So I got all ready, called once, and won.
...What? Hell yeah!
Now to mark on my calendar 90 days 'til I can win tickets again.
Here's one of my favorites from their new album titled Big Decisions.
Sit'n round wondering just what the hell to do with your life
Only get once chance but you seem to always think twice.
Little Dragon has this jazzy / lounge / electro vibe to them that I absolutely adore.
The last album they released was Ritual Union back in 2011. I think it's about time the world heard a bit more from them. Nabuma Rubberband is to release on May 13.
Klapp Klapp is the first single released from the album, and I'm bursting with excitement with the thought of more like it.
Also, can we talk about this album art for a second? Swoon. The ethereal quality of the jumping / floating girl is everything. And that color scheme, spot on.
